Cloudflare is a web performance and security company providing services for the protection and acceleration of websites online that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded din 2009 by Lee Holloway, Matthew Prince, and Michelle Zatlyn.

Funding

Series A

On November 25, 2009 Cloudflare completed their series A funding round with $2.1 million in funding from Venrock and Pelion Venture Partners. 

Series B

On July 12, 2011 Cloudflare completed their series B funding round with $20 million in funding from New Enterprise Associates (lead investor), Venrock, and Pelion Venture Partners. 

Series C

On December 17, 2013 Cloudflare completed their series C funding round with $50 million in funding from Union Square Ventures (lead investor), Venrock, Pelion Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, and Greenspring Associates. 

Series D

On September 22, 2015 Cloudflare completed their series D funding round with $110 million in funding from Fidelity (lead investor), Venrock, Union Square Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Pelion Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Microsoft Accelerator, Greenspring Associates, CapitalG, and Baidu. 

Sereis E

On March 12, 2019 Cloudflare completed their series E funding round with $150 million in funding from Franklin Templeton Investments.
