Established in 2000 by Robin Li, Baidu is a Chinese multinational technology company specializing in internet search solutions and online marketing solutions. Apart from its search engine, Baidu's areas of focus include an artificial intelligence cloud, video streaming services, voice recognition technology, and autonomous driving.
Some of the company's products include Baidu PostBar, a Chinese-language, query-based searchable online community platform; Baidu Knows, a Chinese-language interactive knowledge-sharing platform; and Baidu Encyclopedia, a user-generated Chinese-language encyclopedia.
Baidu's vertical search-based products include Maps, Image Search, Video Search, News Search, and others. The company also has a Box Computing Open Platform that offers users deep-linked content and applications they can use directly via their search box.
