The Climate Corporation (Climate) is a digital agriculture company that is a subsidiary of Bayer. The Climate Corporation, founded in 2006 and based in San Francisco, examines weather, soil and field data.

The mission of The Climate Corporation is to help farmers increase their productivity sustainably through using digital tools.

Products offered by The Climate Corporation include Seed Advisor, a predictive seed selection and placement technology for corn. Seed Advisor helps seed dealers predict the best performing hybrids for farmer’s fields. The company’s FieldView Innovators program tested the Seed Advisor tool with a group of farmers and dealers growing corn in Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota during 2018, where it showed an average yield advantage of 9.1 bushels per acre. The company is also developing digital solutions in the areas of disease risk and disease identification and soil fertility.
