The Cellular Agriculture Society (CAS) is an international 501(c)(3) non-profit organization seeking to support the development and commercialization of cellular agricultural products and technologies.
CAS was founded by Kristopher Gasteratos in March of 2018, based on the philosophy that animal products ought to be sourced from cells, rather than farmed animals. The trademarked slogan for CAS is, "For the people. For the animals. For the world.
The programs at CAS are aimed at promoting public involvement in cellular agriculture. The programs are split into three categories:
- Initiatives—programs on narrow topics
- Divisions—programs on broad topics, led by Directors on the Executive Board
- Series—recurring application-based programs.
