They can also access literature containing career advice in addition to career coaching, which can aid in situations such as career path consulting. Advice topics that are covered include work relationships, working abroad, switching jobs, and more.

Employers can create a company profile on the platform. The Muse collects information from current employees of the employer's company, such as core values or what they think are impactful projects. The platform attracts a specific audience of candidates to apply for each company's job openings. Companies that have used The Muse for recruitment purposes include Facebook, Eventbrite, Target, Vanguard, and more.
