University of Pittsburgh

A public research university that is a part of the Association of American Universities (AAU). It was founded in 1787 and is located in PIttsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) is a Pittsburgh-based public university that offers programs in the fields of arts and sciences as well as professional fields. It has both graduate and undergraduate programs and several regional campuses in addition to its main campus in Oakland, Pittsburgh.

COVID-19

The School of Medicine within Pitt partnered with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) to expedite the testing of COVID-19 treatments. They have the stated intention of testing combinations of already-established medical solution such as the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine and immunomodulators, which alter the responsiveness of the immune system and come in the form of steroids and medications.
