SysDig is a developer of a DevOps platform designed to offer security to run containers and cloud services. The platform works to secure the build pipeline, detects and responds to runtime threats, validates compliance, and monitors and troubleshoots cloud infrastructure and services. SysDig's platform is built on an open-source stack that includes Falco and Sysdig OSS, the open standards for runtime threat detection and response. The company was founded in 2013 by Loris Degioanni and is headquartered in San Francisco.
The SysDig DevOps platform is developed for containers, Kubernetes, and cloud, intended to offer users confidence in running containers and cloud operations. For securing DevOps, the platform includes image scanning, runtime security, network security, incident response, IaC security, cloud security, CIEM, and compliance. And in monitoring, the DevOps platform offers Kubernetes monitoring, Prometheus monitoring, eBPF troubleshooting, cloud monitoring, and custom metrics.
The platform is built on an open-source security stack, including Falco, Open Policy Agent, Cloud Custodian, sysdig OSS, and Prometheus. The platform is intended to give users visibility across workloads and cloud infrastructure, while offering a single security and monitoring infrastructure. The platform also includes pre-built integrations to help the platform work in an existing workflow.
For security, SysDig Secure, is intended to offer unified security and compliance for containers, Kubernetes, and cloud computing. This includes continuous cloud posture management, infrastructure as cloud security, cloud infrastructure entitlements management, continuous compliance, image scanning, runtime security, network security, and incident response and forensics. The platform is built on open-source software, including Falco, Open Policy Agent, Cloud Custodian, and sysdig OSS.
The continuous assessment of cloud security posture offered by the platform includes unified posture management and threat detection in a single platform, which brings data from sources and contexts into the single platform in order to use transparency to reduce risks, misconfigurations, and suspicious activity. The platform also enforces least privilege access and works to remediate over permissive policies in minutes.
SysDig's monitor offers Kubernetes and cloud monitoring with full Prometheus compatibility. The tool is intended to install in seconds and works to provide visibility across containers, including Kubernetes monitoring, managed services for Prometheus, eBPF based troubleshooting, business and application metrics with custom fields, and cloud infrastructure monitoring. The platform works by collecting metrics from a software environment, integrations, and cloud services. The metrics are then correlated and enriched to give greater visibility to help ensure application availability, performance, and fast problem resolution.
The features of the platform include custom dashboards for monitoring and increased visibility, as well as Prometheus compatibility, Kubernetes troubleshooting, adaptive alerts, curated Prometheus exporters, and SysDig teams, which can isolate and secure dashboards by teams, users, customer, or environment.
