Nightfall (formerly known as Watchtower) uses machine learning to identify business-critical data, like customer personally identifiable information (PII), across a corporations Software-as-a-Service, APIs, and data infrastructure so it can be managed and protected. Nightfall supports data security and compliance initiatives with respect to GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS and other compliance standards.
Nightfall's platform monitors sensitive data that is flowing into and out of all the services used, classifies sensitive data automatically so nothing gets missed, sets up automated workflows for quarantines, deletions, and alerts, enabling users to save time and keep business safe. Nightfall's platform is also works to prevent data breaches, intentional or otherwise, and help stop data exfiltration and identify sensitive data which shows up in systems it should not.
Nightfall's platform solves certain problems in legacy Data Loss Prevention (DLP) software, such as the configuration and tuning for sensitive data, maintenance, false positive and the migration of data from in-house to in-cloud. Nightfall does this through the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, which discovers, classifies and protects sensitive data without static rules or definitions. Their platform has a low false positive rate and a high catch rate relative to legacy DLP software. Nightfall's platform also works across data infrastructures, including cloud-based data.
Nightfall's platform integrates with software, API's and data infrastructure, and this includes with Slack, GitHub, Amazon Web Services, G Suite, Atlassian, box, MongoDB, elasticsearch, Office365, Airtable, stripe, Oracle, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Gitlab and Alien Vault, among others.
