Atlassian is a team collaboration and development software company. Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar created Atlassian in 2002 as college friends at the University of New South Wales. The two launched their first software, Jira 1.0, in 2002.
Atlassian went public in 2015, joining NASDAQ under "TEAM." The company's stock shares rose 93.7% in the 2020 calendar year, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence.
