Toast sells restaurant management software including consumer payment apps for restaurants that combine point of sale, front of house, back of house and guest facing technology. Toast the company was founded in 2011 by Aman Narang, Jon Grimm and Steve Fredette. Toast Point of Sale was launched in 2013. The app is built on Android and based in the cloud. Toast is headquartered in Boston and has 1400 locations in the US and Dublin, Ireland. The consumer-facing app called The Toast TakeOut app, available for Apple devices, allows users to order ahead and pick up their food in the store.
