RiceApp

RiceApp is an application for restaurants and their customers that works as a basic point of sale and management system, capable of reducing operating costs and increasing an operation's efficiency, receiving payments securely, and consolidating all orders from delivery application in a single place. For customers, the application offers a chance to enjoy a restaurant in a socially-distanced setting.

For diners, the application allows users to find nearby places listed on the RiceApp. Once at the restaurant, application users are able to scan a QR code on the table, browse and check any specials on the menu, and order their meal. And at the end of the meal, through the application, users can pay for their meal, including splitting the bill as a table sees fit.

Through the RiceApp, restaurants are able to use the application as a digital waiter and as an ordering and point of sale system. Further, through the discovery feature on the diner portion of the RiceApp, restaurants can increase their discoverability. Once diners are in a restaurant, the restaurant can have QR codes at tables and bar chairs, which can be linked to the specific table to allow servers to know where to bring food. In the case in which a restaurant may not have a waiter, the application can provide the restaurant with a digital waiter, offering notifications for diners to pick up their food as it is ready.
