It owns 22 NGS-related patents, and has published over 4,920 customer research papers.Company founder, Dr. Ruiqiang Li, is best known for developing the software SOAP (Short Oligonucleotide Analysis Package) for sequence mapping, variation detection, and de novo genome assembly.
Novogene is an Illumina Genome Network partner. They offer a range of NGS-based services for human, plant, animal and microbial DNA and RNA analysis.Services offered include human genome sequencing, gene regulation, single-cell sequencing, animal and plant solutions (such as genome sequencing), and microbial genome sequencing. Pharmaceutical companies can also utilize Novogene's technology for drug development related to insights gained from genomic sequencing. The technology at the company uses various systems, such as HiSeq X, to sequence genomes, which allows for the company to annually sequence 280,000 human genomes.
