Haute Hijab is a New York-based e-commerce company with a focus on making fashionable hijabs available to the masses. It has the stated mission of proving hijabs that are breathable, comfortable, washable, durable, and beautiful. It was founded by Melanie Elturk and Ahmed Zedan in 2010 and has raised more than $2.3 million in funding from investors.
The company produces two products: hijabs and underscarves. The hijabs are available in various materials including chiffon, modal, jersey, georgette, viscose, satin, and silk. There are hijabs available in patterns and the company also released a luxury line, which included hijabs made of silk, lace, and Swarovski crystals. In 2018, Haute Hijab released its first line of underscarves. The company utilized technology when creating the line and produced underscarves with anti-bacterial properties as well as SPF protection.
Haute Hijab posts weekly new arrivals and has also launched several collections in addition to its luxury collection, such as the Deco collection and the Heritage collection.
