A private company has just completed the first successful test of its trash collector

When Elsa reached sustained winds of 85 mph last week, it became the strongest July storm in the Caribbean Sea since Hurricane Emily in 2005. Four days later, it would brush past the Tampa Bay coastline, dumping plenty of rain, but leaving the region mostly unscathed.

Elsa was already blamed for one death in Florida. And the system previously sparked a damaging tornado in Georgia.

At least 10 others were inured when a possible tornado struck a campground at a Georgia Navy base.

A weakened Tropical Storm Elsa dumped rain across Florida's northern Gulf Coast early Wednesday, sparing the state from significant damage as it churned toward Georgia with threats of flooding downpours and possibly tornadoes.
