Launched in June 2021, Saber is a cross-chain stablecoin exchange on the Solana network. Saber provides the liquidity foundation for stablecoins, which are a type of cryptocurrency with a value value that is pegged to another asset, such as the US dollar or bitcoin. As Solana's core cross-chain liquidity network, Saber facilitates the transfer of assets between Solana and other blockchains. Market makers deposit cryptocurrency into a Saber liquidity pool to earn passive yield from transaction fees, token-based incentives, and automated DeFi strategies.Saber is the first automated market maker optimized for trading pegged assets on Solana. Saber's protocol enables Solana users and applications to trade between stable pairs of assets, as well as earn yields by providing liquidity to the platform.
