FreedomFi Gateway is a system that can create a private LTE or 5G cell network by plugging in a small cell of any commodity. The user then begins managing the network via a SaaS portal through FreedomFi's included software, along with provided SIM cards. FreedomFi launched the Gateway as its first product in October 2020. FreedomFi Gateway costs $499.
FreedomFi One is an indoor small cell created by FreedomFi. It was launched on December 16, 2021. FreedomFi One is able to be used with FreedomFi Gateway to create private cell networks. FreedomFi expects to launch and ship its outdoor small cells in February 2022.
In April 2021, FreedomFi announced a partnership with Helium to create a new FreedomFi Gateway system to mine HNT, the Helium Network's own cryptocurrency. In September 2021, the first round of new Gateways were shipped to those who had signed up via waitlist. More small batches were sent each following month until January 2022, at which point the website stated all waitlisted orders had been shipped. HNT can be mined through the Gateway when providing LoRa (long range) network coverage. The Gateway is expandable using certified CBRS small cells and Wi-Fi access points, through which it can earn more HNT by offloading cellular data for mobile carriers. It costs between $2500 and $5000 for a complete 5G mining setup.
