Cruise is a motor vehicle manufacturing company focused on the development of self-driving technology. The company was founded by Daniel Kan, Jeremy Guillory, and Kyle Vogt in 2013, in San Francisco, California. Cruise has additional offices in greater Seattle, Pasadena, Phoenix, and Munich; and employs over 1,600 people.

The company looks to manufacture a self-driving vehicle that is entirely electric and to use these vehicles to help solve transportation challenges around the globe. Their self-driving vehicles utilize artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning.The vehicles are covered with sensors that provide information regarding the environment and utilize machine learning techniques and cloud-based tools to help vehicles understand what is happening around them.
