Daniel Kan is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Cruise; he previously co-founded Exec. He is a the younger brother of entrepreneur Justin Kan.

About

Daniel Kan is a San Francisco-based entrepreneur and investor. He grew in up Seattle, Washington and attended Claremont McKenna College where he double majored in Economics and Physiology while also earning a minor in Leadership. He then moved to San Francisco and later became an entrepreneur.

Kan initially worked for UserVoice as Head of Business Development upon arriving in San Francisco in 2009. He developed a variety of mobile applications and in 2011, he left UserVoice to co-found EXEC. It was an on-demand personal assistant service that was predominately used for seeking house-cleaning services. He sold the startup in 2014 and co-founded Cruise, a company that has created a service for autonomous vehicles. The company was bought in 2016 by General Motors for $1 billion. Kan still works as Chief Product Officer for the company.

As an investor, Kan has invested in several platforms. Such platforms include Alto Pharmacy and LAIKA, a platform that offers products and services for pets.
