AppDirect is a company that provides an end-to-end cloud commerce platform for businesses. The San Francisco-based company was founded in 2009 by co-CEOs Nicolas Desmarais and Daniel Saks, as well as technical co-founder and CTO Andy Sen. AppDirect offers a subscription commerce platform that allows companies to sell any physical or digital product, through any channel, on any platform as a service. AppDirect's platform powers all direct or indirect sales, while also combining identity, data, mobile, and billing management for digital services.
Users of AppDirect's commerce platform are able to sell their own services as well as third-party services, such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. The platform also allows companies to include add-ons, customize prices, bundle services, and offer sales promotions. Notable AppDirect customers include T-Mobile, Comcast Business, Vodafone, BT, Jaguar Land Rover and others.
Since 2011, AppDirect has participated in a total of eight funding rounds, raising over $474 million. The company's latest funding round was a CAN$ 54 million loan from the Government of Quebec on March 19, 2021. The loan will go towards creating 730 jobs in AppDirect's Montreal office.
