0chain (ZCN) is a blockchain-based decentralized cloud computing and storage platform founded by Thomas Austin and Saswata Basu on December 31, 2017 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California. 0Chain is built on Ethereum and uses the ERC20 cryptocurrency token ZCN. The consensus mechanism used by 0chain is a unique Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) protocol called the 2D Byzantine Delegated Proof-of-Stake (2D-BPoS) consensus protocol. The 0chain network offers free cloud computing and storage services through 0Chain (ZCN) tokens.
From February 16, 2018 to February 18, 2018 0chain held their initial coin offering (ICO) selling approximately $39 million worth of their platforms cryptocurrency token ZCN.
