Coldstack

Storj is a decentralized storage network which uses a unique global file-splitting process to guarantee security through decentralization. By separating one’s files into smaller bits, Storj is able to store one’s data across a number of nodes in their ecosystem in order to both prevent data from being compromised, while also improving retrievability. Storj is able to provide an extra degree of immutability and security while still maintaining lower costs compared to their competition at Amazon.

Unlike many of their competitors, Storj allows for the use of Amazon’s S3 protocol, while still maintaining stable latency. File permissions via Storj Access Grants offer the user good flexibility concerning file access permissions, making Storj easy to use for individuals and capable of handling a wide variety of data. Storj’s efficiency in storing this variable data without sacrificing latency makes it well-positioned to provide comprehensive solutions for the blossoming NFT and metaverse sector, which is heavily reliant on the storage of frequently accessible, complex data.

ColdStack is a unified protocol which allows for the aggregation of DSNS such as Filecoin, Storj, and Arweave. Our goal is to bring greater adoption to platforms such as Storj, and the many other DSNs we have integrated. Every DSNs plays a critical role in the decentralized ecosystem through their specializations, and we hope that through our aggregation we can create a system in which users can easily access the benefits of each DSN. By doing this, ColdStack can help DSNs overcome centralized networks like Amazon and Google with our platform, and bring mass-adoption to decentralized storage. Storj is unquestionably a leader in this regard, and has made great strides in appealing to those outside of the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem to give decentralized storage a chance through their great usability.
