Riffyn

Riffyn is headquartered in Oakland, California and was founded in 2014 by Tim Gardner and Matthew Cockerill. Founder Tim Gardner was formerly Vice President of Research and Development at Amyris; a pioneer in industrial biotechnology. Riffyn develops cloud-based research and development software that they call the Scientific Development Environment (SDE). The SDE is a computer aided design (CAD) platform allows users to visually design processes and experiments, execute experiments, collect and analyze data in real-time using machine learning, and share results and protocols easily across teams. The SDE is compatible with several off-the-shelf data connectors and is compliant with regulatory standards such as 21 CFR 11 from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
