RAMP is a company that provides enterprise content delivery network solutions

RAMP is a company that provides enterprise content delivery network solutions. The company was founded by Alex Laats in Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

The company was started in order to help organizations, of all sizes, to utilize the capability of streaming video for business communications. Their software solutions are designed to facilitate unlimited and uninterrupted enterprise video streaming. They reduce network congestion created by live and on-demand video streaming for a network by 90% or more. Their Ramp AltitudeCDN uses multi-casting, video caching, the option to use both, the ability to stream high-quality video without changes in network performance.

Some of the company's other products include the Multicast+, the OmniCache, and the Altimeter. All of their products are created to optimize streams, support mobile, Wi-Fi and virtual desktop infrastructures, to solve delivery problems, are deployable 100% behind a firewall, enterprise-grade security, and centralized management and monitoring.

The Multicast+ is meant to help a user maintain a highly predictable and deterministic network no matter the size. The OmniCache is a video specific caching software that uses local caches to serve video to nearby audiences which reduces the number of video streams traveling across an internet connection and WAN links. The Altimeter is a centralized management system allowing the configuration and management of an entire eCDN web-based interface.
