Founded in Reston, Virginia US by John Backus, Scott McComb Johnson, Thanasis Delistathis, and Todd Hixon in 1999, the company usually funds early and late stage ventures and seed capital. It has worked in more than 100 companies including DivX, EnerNOC, Invincea, Massive (acquired by Microsoft), Mobile365 (acquired by Sybase), Moda Operandi, Qliance, Solve Media and Stitcher Radio.
