Nutiva

Nutiva is a food company making plant-based, organic, and non-GMO baking, culinary oils, snacks, spreads, supplements, and personal care products. The company was founded by John Roulac in 1999, and is headquartered out of Richmond, California. John Roulac named the company after the "NUT of cannabis satIVA".

In 1999, Nutiva launched their first product line of hemp seed bars. In 2002, Nutiva launched their second product line of coconut oil products which were cold pressed and minimally processed. In 2012, Nutiva launched their "Nutiva School Orchard Initiative" pledging to plant a tree in every public school in Richmond, California.
