Lumenis is a company that develops and produces medical and aesthetic technologies, equipment, and lasers. The company was founded by Shimon Eckhouse in 1966, in Jerusalem, Yerushalayim, Israel. Lumenis aims to incorporate intense pulsed light and radio-frequency solutions to change the standards for medical treatments and solutions. They have over 270 registered patents and over 100 FDA clearances.
Lumenis has created products and instruments for the purpose of treating kidney stones and stone management, malignant tumors, strictures, glaucoma, retinal diseases, skin and eyelid inflammation, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, adhesions, both malignant and benign central airway obstructions, surgical processes, and microsurgery.
