Kolabtree is a global freelancing platform where businesses and independent professionals connect and collaborate remotely. Kolabtree is headquartered in London and has offices in Mumbai, India.

Kolabtree was founded in 2015 by Ashmita Daas, who currently serves as chief executive officer. In 2018, the company launched a pay-by-the-hour option that allows businesses to hire scientists by the hour. The platform connects freelance scientists, statisticians, and researchers with companies around the world and has over 10,000 registered freelancers including scientists from the likes of NASA, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and Cambridge.

Kolabtree enables organizations to interview, hire and work with PhD-qualified freelance scientists and researchers for short-term projects. The platform includes a real-time chat aimed at reducing the time it takes to find, vet and hire freelancers.
