IFlytek Co Ltd is a software enterprise, which is dedicated towards research of intelligent speech and language technologies. The speech technologies comprise speech synthesis and speech recognition to enable human-machine speech communication as convenient as human-human communication. In addition, the speech technologies also include oral language evaluation, speech coding, timbre transformation and noise reduction.

IFlytek's core businesses include fundamental speech technology research, development and marketing of software applications, system integration, hardware products and full time technical support.

IFlytek's industry solutions include artificial integration products in education, justice, medical, city infrastructure, automobile, marketing, and discipline, inspection and supervision.

In October 2019, IFlytek was added to the US Entity List, along with seven other Chinese companies. The US Entity List prevents companies on the list from buying United States made technology. CEO Liu Qingfeng said in interview the ban would not have a significant impact on the companies day-to-day operations but they intended to appeal the decision to the relevant United States government departments.
