Hype & Vice is a clothing brand for female college apparel. The company was established in 2015 by Kim Robles and Cecelia Gonzales. The idea for the product came from Robles and Gonzales’ experiences as sorority members in University of Southern California (USC), where they found that official university clothing design options for female sportswear are quite limited. Thus, Hype & Vice aims to serve this market by manufacturing female-oriented official college sportswear. It is based in Los Angeles, California.
Hype & Vice both manufactures and sells their clothing through the brand’s website. Clothing items that they offer are, for example, jackets, tank tops, skirts, and pants. In additional to ready-to-wear retail items that are sold in their website, the brand also offers custom made outfits, as well as wholesale orders of their current product offerings. Several universities in the United States have partnered with the brand to create these merchandises, such as the University of Colorado, University of California, Berkeley, and Tulane University. The brand also has a brand ambassador program, called Campus Captain.
