Frodo Tech

Frodo Tech is a New Zealand-based financial blockchain company founded in 2018. It is a member of the Blockchain Association of New Zealand (BANZ). It has developed and launched several financial services solutions such as a launchpad and customer support. The stated aim of the company is to develop an environmentally-friendly blockchain ecosystem that is inclusive of all people regardless of their background or location in the world.

Frodo Tech offers a cryptocurrency token called FRDX, which is a BEP-20 based token. Its initial offering started in December 2021, and users can exchange other cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and more, for FRDX and vice versa. The company states is developing products with the unbanked population in mind so that they can still send and receive assets, even without an official bank account.

The company is set to launch the Frodo Pay web app at the end of July 2022. According to Frodo Tech's website, the app will have features such as peer-to-peer crypto payments and rewards. A mobile app is also set to be launched in 2022 that allows users to make payments for services and goods, such as products at shops, taxis, and bill payments using cryptocurrency.
