CarbonFree Chemicals aims to capture 10% of the world’s industrial CO2. CarbonFree is driven by the passion to be part of the global journey to net-zero. The company has technology that makes a difference and contributes to one's net-zero goals and the business model to do it profitably. CarbonFree Chemicals develops patented technologies that capture CO2 from stationary point source emitters, and transform them into carbon-negative chemicals. CarbonFree’s modular and scalable technology makes this a reality, providing an on-site solution without the need for costly infrastructure to transport and store carbon dioxide.
CarbonFree Chemicals binds carbon dioxide to make globally in-demand carbon-negative chemicals. CarbonFree’s technologies produce sustainable carbon-negative chemicals that contribute to a net-zero future. SkyCycle produces precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) and hydrochloric acid, while SkyMine produces sodium bicarbonate (baking soda).CarbonFree acts with its existing SkyMine facility in San Antonio, Texas, and its first SkyCyle plant being deployed in 2022.
SkyCycle is CarbonFree’s second-generation technology. CarbonFree Chemicals provides a complete CCUS solution, solving the high cost of transport and storage infrastructure. SkyCycle has an ultra-low penalty technology providing a carbon negative impact. SkyCycle is a strong profitable position.
Operating since 2015, SkyMine is the world’s first and largest industrial-scale carbon mineralization facility. The company's SkyMine plant captures up to 50,000 tons of CO2 from cement flue gas, transforming it into carbon-negative baking soda.
