The Open Application Network, also referred to as Aion, is an open source public infrastructure for the creation and hosting of Open Apps. The platform enables developers to build production-grade Java applications on its network.
Aion is the token utilized in the securement and accessing of The Open Application Network. The network was launched in 2018 in Canada and is slated for public availability. It is managed by The Open Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.
The major aim of The OAN is to streamline interoperability between various blockchains, enabling users and developers to develop a variety of applications. By making the Aion token the center of the network, The OAN allows users to execute smart contracts, store data, and share it between varying networks.
