Within cleantech, it invests in smart grid technologies, energy storage, energy efficiency, building materials/lighting, clean energy infrastructure, water technologies, and oil and gas technologies and services. The firm seeks to invest in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Israel. The firm invests between $10 million and $15 million in its portfolio companies. It originates and leads syndicated deals and seeks Board representation on its portfolio companies. The firm was founded in 1979 and invests in IT, healthcare, and cleantech companies. ATV has offices in Waltham, Massachusetts and Palo Alto, California. It operates in the areas of Venture Growth, Mezzanine, Secondaries, and Leveraged buyout.
