Founded 1970 in London, England, United Kingdom by Richard Branson, it invests in early stage ventures, late stage ventures, private equity, series C, series B, series A, and series D rounds. Its portfolio companies include Memphis Meats, Classcraft, Capsule, Sofar Sounds, and TransferWise. As of February 2020, Virgin Group has made 43 investments. Their most recent investment was on May 22, 2019, when Sofar Sounds raised $25M. Virgin Group has had eight exits, the most notable of which include Square, Virgin Pulse, and Ring.
