The George Washington University

The George Washington University (GWU) is a private educational institution founded in 1821 by Luther Rice. Named after George Washington, the university is located in Washington, D.C., in the neighborhoods of Foggy Bottom and Foxhall. With a motto of "Deus Nobis Fiducia," the university has over 6,261 employees and operates within various industries, including healthcare, electronic design automation, education, higher education, and university-level learning.
