The Abbots Butcher makes hand-crafted plant-based meat alternatives out of whole food ingredients without the use of food additives or preservatives. Kerry Song founded The Abbots's Butcher in 2016, and the company is operating out of Costa Mesa, California.
Kerry Song founded the company after becoming frustrated at the lack of plant-based meat alternatives beyond black bean or quinoa burgers. She spent over one year testing out new recipes and traveling around to visit farmers markets in search of idea for plant-based meat alternatives that can replicate the taste and texture of meat products using whole-food ingredients. Kerry Song's search for plant-based meat alternatives inspired her to start her own company, and in 2016 she founded The Abbot's Butcher.
The Abbot's Butcher makes plant-based meat alternatives that are non-GMO, vegan, high in protein, and free of cholesterol, sugar, preservatives, artificial flavors, and artificial colors. Each plant-based meat alternatives made by The Abbot's Butcher has more protein per ounce than the animal meat it is made to be an alternative for.
