Swim is a developer of a data processing and edge analytics software intended to deliver business and operational insights in real-time, using machine learning and edge computing to process streaming data as it is generated. Swim also offers Swim Continuum, an open core, enterprise-grade platform intended to allow for building, managing, and operating intelligence applications at scale, and intended to provide high-frequency aggregations, contextual analytics, and real-time visualizations of massive amounts of streaming and historical data.

The company was founded in 2015 by CTO Christopher Sachs and former CEO Rusty Cumpston. The company is headquartered in Campbell, California. Swim's partners have included ARM, Juniper Networks, Verizon, Cubic, and Microsoft.

Swim OS is built to be a scalable, end-to-end platform for streaming applications, providing its own persistence, messaging, scheduling, clustering, replication, introspection, and security. The Swim platform is built to optimize the utilization of available compute resources and process data locally.

Built on Swim OS, Swim Continuum offers a business analytics and intelligence platform, developed to allow users to take continuous intelligence applications into production and allow businesses to focus on insights and applications rather than infrastructure and integration. The Swim Continuum platform is built to be scalable and self-managing and provide a deep view of all aspects of a user's operation.
