SmartAsset is a New York City-based financial technology company that provides personalized financial advice to users. It provides free financial tools to its consumers to assist in financial planning for home buying, retirement, taxes, and more.

SmartAsset developed a technology called Automated Financial Modeling (AFM). AFM leverages data to run simulations on various financial decisions that may potentially impact a customer in the future. SmartAsset also offers third-party partnerships through other companies to gain access to their tools and data. It commits to branding any partnership tools being used in the process for a financial assessment.
