SAM Seamless Network is the developer of network-based cybersecurity software intended to tackle security threats at the source. The software uses proprietary cyber intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) threat management systems for device specific security protection, and without the need to install the software on each device connected to a network. The device-agnostic software solution was designed to study the behavior of a single network of fragmented devices, and this allows the company to create customized protection for each user.
SAM was founded in 2016 by Sivan Rauscher, Eilon Lotem, and Shmuel Chafets, who previously served as cyber specialists in the Israeli Defense Forces. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv. In 2017, Bezeq used SAM's technology to develop BCyber, a value-added service, which offered customers a network security solution and resulted in increased customer retention and engagement. The company has also worked with chipset manufacturers including Qualcomm and Intel to develop on-chip network security.
SAM Seamless Network's software works to secure the network gateway that acts as the nexus of communication, and by securing this gateway, allow ISPs to help customers secure their home network. The solution offers telecommunication companies a chance to develop new products and thereby revenue streams while offering an enriched value proposition for their customers.
The software can be white-labeled or integrated into existing mobile applications. It is designed with privacy in mind and is a cloud-based solution that uses machine learning algorithms in order to generate analytics for operations and marketing teams. The software is developed to integrate into legacy or next-generation gateways, and to provide network security to all ISP customers.
Developed for service providers to offer their customers, SAM Secure Home is a version of the companies network and IoT security and network management tools intended for use at home. These include Device Identification, which can help users find the devices connected on their home network, manage connected devices in real-time, track bandwidth usage, and optimize signal strength. Further, it gives ISPs greater visibility to improve overall user experience, and provide insights to offer better value-added services.
Through their white-labeled services, SAM allows ISP to offer customers end-to-end security to better protect their home network, privacy, and personal assets. SAM's security suite integrates into any router to secure each device connected to the network, and it offers firewall hardening; virtual patching; vulnerability mapping; router, network, we, IoT, and malware protection; and DDoS, malicious DNS, and IP protection.
The service also offers users family controls, including schedule settings and time limits, customized setting per user profile, and internet pausing, safe search, app control, and content filtering.
Developed for small to medium businesses and the specific security challenges they face, SAM's Secure Office solution offers cybersecurity software that can secure and manage networks and connected devices across a businesses network. This solution offers network monitoring to allow businesses to continuously monitor network activity and to enable users to filter content either by security and network trends, or a specific security risk. It offers a vulnerability assessment tool, which can help businesses find cybersecurity weaknesses in devices across business networks and provides action items for resolving them. And the software offers virtual patching, detecting zero-day vulnerabilities, and can apply protection on a per device basis, offering granularity and control over vulnerabilities.
Through SAM's Secure Office, users are offered device fingerprinting, offering visibility into their network and the ability to identify and manage all connected devices. This further allows businesses to define appropriate security settings for each device and assign those devices to customized zones. And through the service, users can create employee management profiles to provide user-specific permissions and access.
SAM Intelligence is the cybersecurity solution that sits beneath SAM's other cybersecurity offerings. SAM Intelligence offers network cybersecurity tools, such as device fingerprinting, risk scoring, and behavior anomaly detection. This allows users to access detailed information on the make, model, version, and behavior for all connected devices, requiring only MAC addresses, to fingerprint those devices.
For IoT security, once devices on a network are identified, the SAM Intelligence software works to protect those devices with threat identification, security policies, and device analysis. SAM's IoT threat devices also works to detect anomalies which can help indicate security breaches at the device level. The Intelligence platform also provides attached devices with a risk score in multiple pre-defined risk categories to better understand weak links in the network security from a device perspective. This can further allow a user to restrict access to certain devices when necessary.
SAM's Intelligence platform is modular, and can be tailored to a users need. It is offered with an API and an SDK.
