S4 Capital is a digital marketing and advertising company that is headquartered in London, England and was founded in May 2018 by Sir Martin Sorrell. The company only provides digital marketing and advertising services for global, multi-national, local clients, and millenial-driven influencer brands. S4 Capital works closely with its subsidiary companies MediaMonks, a digital content production company, and MightyHive, a company providing consulting and media operation services.
On July 10, 2018 S4 Capital announced acquiring MediaMonks, a digital production company, for approximately $350 million. The founder of S4 Capital, Sir Martin Sorrel, made the following comment regarding the companies acquisition of MediaMonks:
This represents a significant step in building a new age, new era, digital agency platform for clients. MediaMonks’ roots are totally in new media, and data, content and technology. Our next moves will be to build this platform further and to add meaningful data analytics and digital media buying.
On August 12, 2019 S4 Capital announced acquiring IMA, an influencer marketing company, for €10 million. The founder of S4 Capital, Sir Martin Sorrel, made the following comment regarding the companies acquisition of IMA:
This merger is yet another example of our focus on top line growth. Influencer marketing is an important sub-set of the digital content marketing industry and is predicted to double in size over the next three years.
