Onefootball is an online media platform for football fans that was founded in 2008 by Lucas von Cranach and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The company is also offering a mobile application for their soccer media platform that is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. On December 4, 2017 Onefootball completed their series C funding round with an undisclosed amount of funding which brought their total amount of funding to date over the $20 million of publicly reported funding. The founder of Onefootball, Lucas von Cranach, made the following statement regarding the companies series C funding round:
Raising capital is a necessity to match the goal which you are putting yourself forward. We’ve raised some capital, but I always looked at the dilution, valuation and money in the bank triangle.
