Letter is an online neo-bank designed for high net worth individuals and families. The company has developed various customizable features, like automated charitable donations, multiple physical cards, automated investments, multiple checking accounts, no cost domestic wire transfers, real-time activity notifications, and more.

The Letter bank account allows users to make automated tax-deductible charitable donations to one of its partnered organizations. As of December 2020, Letter was partnered with Watsi, Charity: water, Children Incorporated, and Kiva. All donations can be tracked through the Letter banking application with a visual metric that shows direct impact. The charity feature is similar to a cash-back feature; only the money is donated instead of being returned to the spender.

The debit card provided by Letter is a stainless steel card with an anti-scratch resistant coating, NFC chip for contactless payment, full card number hidden for security purposes, and engraving to combat card wear.
