Lady Technologies Inc, headquartered in San Francisco, California, produces Kegg, a fertility tracking kegel. Kegg is a hardware product for women for pelvic floor strength and fertility tracking. The Kegg works by inserting it into the vagina and leaving it in place for a few minutes to analyze the surround environment. After analysis is complete, the results can be viewed on a mobile application developed to be used with Kegg. Kegg uses impedance spectroscopy to analyze the vaginal environment to detect fluid-structure changes associated with the presence of fertile cervical fluid.
Kegg is made to be able to provide users with the ability to predict their fertile window and ovulation up to 7 days in advance of it occurring. Users are able to view data produced by Kegg using the products associated mobile application which provides graphs of data and a calendar view of fertile and non-fertile times of the month for women.
Kegg is made with gold pated stainless steel and medical-grade silicone to ensure safety while inserting it into the human body. Kegg also use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) emission to analyze the internal vaginal environment which is 1,000 times lower than emissions produced by cellphones, according to the companies website.
Kegg is backed by the venture capital and private equity firm SOSV.
