Gala

Gala Games is a blockchain gaming platform where players earn cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) via gameplay. The platform has different titles with varying in-game functionality. The native token is GALA, and it is utilized to secure the platform and encourage player participation. The blockchain-based, play-to-earn gaming platform rewards players with digital assets for in-game accomplishments.

Players are able to own NFTs and influence the governance of games in the Gala Games ecosystem. The Founder’s Nodes voting mechanism enables participants to influence which games Gala develops and which games should receive funding. Besides purchasing NFTs for particular games, Gala Games uses GALA—its own utility token.

Gala Games released a playable game called Town Star and an NFT collectible series called VOX. There are plans to release other games in the future, like a fantasy RPG game, a sci-fi strategy game, and a tower defense game. In 2020, Gala Games announced plans to allocate $5 billion to expand its NFT ambitions in 2023. The funds will be split between gaming, music, movies, and theme park NFTs.
