Full Cycle Bioplastics is a company that is using plastic pollution and organic matter to make a compostable alternative to oil-based plastics. The company was founded by Dane Anderson and Jeffrey Anderson in 2014, in Richmond, California, United States.

The company aims to reduce the generation of greenhouse gas emissions and the effects they have on climate change and global warming by introducing they Polyhydroxyalkanoate bioplastic. This bioplastic is naturally created by means of bacteria that uses organic wastes as raw material. This form of plastic is both compostable and marine degradable.

Full Cycle Bioplastics has developed their technologies for use for agricultural products, food and beverage processors, composters, bio-refineries, landfills, and campus environments. The technology utilizes non-GMO bacteria that is usable in non-sterile industrial environments, and is food-contact safe. The PHA produces polymer outputs and can be upcycled back into virgin PHA.

The process includes collecting organic waste for upcycling into PHA, making the PHA resin, create compostable products out of the PHA, products are made and sold for retail, consumers purchase products, and the cycle restarts.
