Braid is a California-based company focused on designing a mobile application that allows users to create flexible group accounts for shared spending. The application creates a group and has the ability to securely add funds from any U.S. bank to the group’s account. Members of the group then have the ability to access the shared funds. Within groups, the app offers many options for customizing member access or capability. For example, limitations such as spending caps, withdrawal permissions, ability to add group members, etc. can be placed on group members. The company is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded by Amanda Peyton and Todd Berman in January, 2019.
