Atomos Nuclear and Space is a space engineering, travel, launching and landing company focused on creating rapid, cost-effective nuclear propulsion and landing for last-mile delivery in space. Atomos Nuclear and Space was founded by Vanessa Clark, Brandon Seifert, and William Kowalski in 2018.
The company develops and delivers orbital transfer vehicles for customers interesting in delivering payloads to space. Atomos's services allow ridesharing and decreased cost delivery, cutting the costs associated with a business building their own expensive propulsion systems.
Opposed to rockets having to bring payloads and cargo to specific orbits, they would be able to drop them at specific drop-off points in space. From there, Atomos "space tugs" would grab the cargo and bring it within orbits, acting as a third-party land and space connector for customers.
Atomos won Australia's Rise of the Rest pitch competition May 1, 2019, a competition aimed at seeding Space Coast startups across the world.
