AlphaSense is a San Francisco-based company that has created a search engine to analyze data for corporations and financial firms. It has been used by companies such as 3M, J.P. Morgan, Cardinal Health, and Equity Analysts.
AlphaSense uses various technology, such as artificial intelligence and natural language processing, to perform its function. The algorithms used on the platform also provide synonym recognition so that when a user searches with a keyword, they will also receive results for similar keywords, which may be the ones that competitors are using and thus receive the same information as others in the same market.
The database that is used for the search engine contains information from sources such as broker research, company data, Security and Exchange (SEC) filings, transcripts, news, and trade journals. The platform also has security features which consist of Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256, a secure symmetric-key encryption standard, using 256-bit encryption keys.
The expansion represents the most recent addition to Wall Street Insights, a collection that AlphaSense launched in May of last year to provide corporations unprecedented access to a deep pool of research from thousands of expert analysts.
Founded in 2011, AlphaSense has been developing market-leading AI and search technology for nearly a decade. The company is backed by $100M in venture funding and has offices in the U.S., U.K., Finland, and India.
