Agnikul Cosmos

A space technology company making customizable 2 stage launch vehicles.

Agnikul Cosmos is a space technology company making customizable, two-stage launch vehicles. It is headquartered in Chennai, India, and was founded in 2017 by Moin SPM and Srinath Ravichandran.

The Agnibaan is a customizable vehicle designed for controllability, stability, and specific lift off thrust-to-weight ratio. The vehicle has a max payload of 100 kilograms, stands at eighteen meters, is 1.3 meters in diameter, and has a liftoff mass of fourteen thousand kilograms.

All stages of Agnibaan use LOX/Kerosene and can have 4/5/6/7 engines on the first stage of the rocket with an option to add a third stage called the baby stage. The baby stage has a payload envelope of 2 meters x 1.5 meters and sits within the payload fairing. Customers seeking to add the baby stage to their rockets pay a flat cost for any payloads between 25-100 kilograms.

The company claims its rocket can be ready to launch with integrated payloads within two weeks of customer requests. Agnikul Cosmos allows customers to choose from 10+ launch ports for their rockets.

On August 18, 2020, Agnikul Cosmos announced a partnership agreement with HOSTmi, a European company offering hosting services for suborbital and deep space craft. Agnikul Cosmos is listed on HOSTmi to provide a standardized digital management of communications between space payloads and payloads hosts.
