Zillow, also known as Zillow Group, Inc, was founded by Richard Barton and Lloyd Frink in 2006. Zillow is currently based in Seattle, Washington, and serves as a large competitor in online real estate databases nationwide.

Zillow generates revenue through the sale advertisement space on its website. Additionally, Zillow has made numerous acquisitions of other real-estate databases since 2011 and forged a partnership with Yahoo! Real Estate to foster the largest online real-estate advertisement network.

In 2018, Zillow expanded the network outside of the US and began hosting properties in Canadian Territories after forming a partnership with Century 21 Canada.
